About the Lango language

Lango is a language spoken by the Langi of Northern Uganda in the Lango sub region. Lango which is a hybrid of the Ateso language and the Luo language that forms a dialect cluster with other Southern Luo languages.
They are mostly found in Apac, Kole, Lira, Oyam, Amolatar, Dokolo, Alebtong, Otuke, Abim, Moroto, Napak, Kotido. The language is spoken by over 2,130,000 according to the 2014 census.
The first Bible portions of the Lango Bible came out in 1967. The New testament came out in 1974 with the complete Lango Bible published in 1979 by The Bible Society of Uganda.
